About Lake City Ford

The Lake City Ford story begins in Wells, British Columbia, in the 1950s. Chuck Beath, the Ford Dealer in Quesnel, set up Hank and John Neufeld as a satellite dealership. The Neufeld's purchased a building in Wells, which was then moved to the dealership's present location - where part of it is still in use as the Parts Department.

In 1954, Beath Motors took over the operation and turned it into a separate franchise. Several years later, Wes Atchinson, purchased controlling interest of the dealership and added a new service bay and bodyshop. Shortly there after the dealership was named Lake City Ford Sales Ltd. And in 1967 we expanded to 100 Mile House.

In the following year Mr. Atchinson, retired and sold his shares to his partners who then expanded the service bay and Bodyshop Departments.

In 1976, Ron and Fran Ridley, took over both locations (Williams Lake and 100 Mile House). Over the next 30 years Ron and Fran wanted to provide a higher quality customer service. In 1988, they performed a complete renovation on the dealership and a new facility was opened in Williams Lake. A few years later the building was expanded to include several car wash bays, four more service bays, and a new bodyshop.

This complete renovation made Lake City Ford the most modern and customer friendly dealership in Williams Lake and will serve its customers for many years to come!
